These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of the Tharuvi Studio website and your purchase of products from us.

By visiting our website, placing an order, or using our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

We recommend that you read them carefully before placing an order.

1. ABOUT THARUVI STUDIO

Tharuvi Studio is a curated saree label based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.

Our collections are thoughtfully selected with an emphasis on comfort, craftsmanship, fabric, drape and everyday elegance.

Many of the sarees we offer are produced in limited quantities, and some pieces may be available as a single piece only. Availability is therefore subject to stock at the time an order is placed.

2. ELIGIBILITY

By using this website or placing an order, you confirm that:

  • You are legally capable of entering into a binding agreement under applicable law
  • The information provided by you is accurate and complete.

If you are placing an order on behalf of another person, you confirm that you have the authority to provide their information and place the order on their behalf.

3. PRODUCT INFORMATION

We make every reasonable effort to display our sarees as accurately as possible.

However, please note that:

  • Colours may appear slightly different depending on your device, screen settings and lighting.
  • Handwoven and handcrafted textiles may naturally have minor variations in weave, texture, colour or finish.
  • Small irregularities in handwoven fabrics are not necessarily defects and may be part of the character and authenticity of the textile.
  • Product photographs may be taken under controlled lighting and may not exactly represent the colour under every lighting condition.
  • Measurements mentioned on the website may have minor variations.

Such natural characteristics do not automatically qualify a product as defective.

If you need additional photographs, videos, fabric details or clarification before purchasing, we encourage you to contact us.

4. PRICING

All prices displayed on our website are in Indian Rupees (₹) unless otherwise stated.

Prices may change from time to time without prior notice.

However, once an order has been successfully placed and payment has been received, the price applicable to that confirmed order will generally remain unchanged, subject to correction of an obvious pricing or technical error.

If a product has been listed at an incorrect price due to an obvious technical or human error, Tharuvi Studio reserves the right to cancel the affected order and refund any payment received.

5. ORDERS

Placing an order on our website constitutes an offer to purchase the selected product.

An order is considered confirmed only after:

  1. The order has been successfully placed;
  2. Payment has been successfully received or the applicable payment method has been authorised; and
  3. Tharuvi Studio has accepted the order.

We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order in exceptional circumstances, including:

  • Product unavailability
  • Incorrect pricing or product information
  • Suspected fraudulent or unauthorised transactions
  • Technical errors
  • Inability to fulfil the order
  • Address or delivery issues

If we cancel an order after receiving payment, the amount paid for the cancelled order will be refunded through the applicable payment method.

6. LIMITED-EDITION AND ONE-OF-A-KIND PRODUCTS

Some Tharuvi Studio sarees are available in very limited quantities.

Where only one piece is available, adding the product to your cart does not guarantee that it will remain available until checkout is completed.

The product is secured only once the order has been successfully confirmed.

We therefore recommend completing your purchase promptly if you wish to secure a limited-edition piece.

7. PAYMENT

Payments may be made using the payment methods made available on our website.

All payment transactions may be processed through third-party payment service providers.

Tharuvi Studio does not ordinarily store your complete card, UPI or banking credentials.

An order will be processed only after successful payment confirmation, unless another payment arrangement has been expressly agreed with Tharuvi Studio.

8. SHIPPING AND DELIVERY

We currently ship orders within India and may offer international shipping where specifically indicated.

Delivery timelines displayed on the website are estimates and may vary depending on:

  • Delivery location
  • Courier availability
  • Weather conditions
  • Public holidays
  • Operational disruptions
  • Unexpected logistical delays
  • Events beyond our reasonable control

Once an order has been handed over to the courier, delivery is also subject to the courier's operating timelines.

Tharuvi Studio is not responsible for delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Please ensure that the shipping address and contact details provided at checkout are accurate.

9. DELIVERY ATTEMPTS AND INCORRECT ADDRESSES

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address and reachable contact number.

If an order cannot be delivered because of:

  • An incorrect or incomplete address;
  • The recipient being unavailable;
  • Failure to respond to courier communication;
  • Repeated delivery attempts being unsuccessful; or
  • Any other reason attributable to the recipient,

additional shipping charges may apply for re-delivery.

If the parcel is returned to Tharuvi Studio, we may contact you to arrange further delivery.

10. INSPECTION ON DELIVERY

We recommend that you inspect your parcel and the product as soon as it is delivered.

If you receive:

  • A visibly damaged package;
  • A wrong product; or
  • A product that appears to have been damaged in transit,

please contact us at tharuvi.studio@gmail.com as soon as reasonably possible, preferably within 48 hours of delivery, with photographs and a continuous unboxing video as described below.

11. NO RETURN OR EXCHANGE

At present, Tharuvi Studio does not accept returns or exchanges on products purchased through our website.

We encourage you to carefully review the product photographs, description, fabric details, measurements and other information provided on the product page before placing your order.

If you require additional photographs, videos or product information before purchasing, please contact us at tharuvi.studio@gmail.com. We will be happy to assist you wherever possible.

As many of our sarees are carefully curated in limited quantities, each purchase is considered final once the order has been confirmed.

12. EXCEPTIONS — INCORRECT PRODUCT OR TRANSIT DAMAGE

If you receive a product different from the one you ordered, or if the product appears to have been damaged during transit, please contact us at tharuvi.studio@gmail.com within 48 hours of delivery.

For us to investigate and process such a claim, a continuous, uninterrupted unboxing video is mandatory.

The video must:

  • Begin before the parcel is opened, showing the package completely unopened and all sides/angles of the parcel clearly.
  • Clearly show the shipping label and package condition.
  • Continue continuously while the parcel is being opened.
  • Show the contents being removed from the package.
  • Clearly show the complete product received.
  • Be recorded without any pause, cut, edit, interruption or disconnection from the beginning of the opening process until the product has been fully revealed.

The complete, unedited video must be provided to Tharuvi Studio along with clear photographs and details of the issue.

Claims without a continuous, uninterrupted unboxing video may not be eligible for consideration, as the video is required to help us verify the condition and contents of the parcel at the time of delivery.

Any claim will be reviewed by Tharuvi Studio on a case-by-case basis. If the issue is confirmed to have resulted from an error on our part or damage during transit, we will determine the appropriate resolution.

Natural characteristics of handwoven or handcrafted textiles, including minor variations in weave, texture, colour or finish, will not ordinarily be considered defects.

13. CANCELLATION OF ORDERS

If you wish to cancel an order, please contact us at tharuvi.studio@gmail.com as soon as possible after placing the order.

A cancellation request does not guarantee cancellation.

Once an order has been processed, packed or handed over to the courier, cancellation may no longer be possible.

Where a cancellation is accepted before processing, any applicable refund will be made through the original payment method, subject to applicable payment processing timelines.

14. REFUNDS

As a general policy, Tharuvi Studio does not provide refunds for change of mind, incorrect size or preference, colour preference, styling preference, or any other reason unrelated to an error attributable to Tharuvi Studio or confirmed transit damage.

Where Tharuvi Studio approves a refund under the exception described above, the refund will generally be processed through the original payment method.

The time taken for the amount to reflect in your account may depend on your bank, card issuer or payment service provider.

Tharuvi Studio is not responsible for delays caused by a customer's bank or payment provider.

15. PROMOTIONAL OFFERS

From time to time, Tharuvi Studio may offer promotional discounts, special pricing, complimentary products, shipping offers or other campaigns.

Unless specifically stated otherwise:

  • Offers cannot be combined.
  • Promotional offers cannot be exchanged for cash.
  • Offers may be subject to specific eligibility conditions.
  • Promotional offers may have limited validity.
  • Tharuvi Studio reserves the right to withdraw or modify an offer where reasonably necessary.

The specific terms displayed with a promotion will apply to that promotion.

The name Tharuvi Studio, our logo, visual identity, written content, photographs, product imagery and other original creative material may constitute intellectual property belonging to Tharuvi Studio or its respective licensors.

Nothing on this website grants you a licence or right to use our intellectual property except for personal, non-commercial use of the website.

Such circumstances may include natural disasters, extreme weather, government actions, public emergencies, strikes, transportation disruptions, technical failures or other unforeseen events.

Your use of our website is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use and protect your personal information.
